Terms of service

These terms apply to schools and other organisations ("you") that use Dartutors System ("the service"), provided by Dartutors ("we"). By starting a trial or subscription you agree to them on behalf of your school.

The service

Dartutors System is online school management software. The features available to you depend on the plan you choose, as described on our pricing page. We may improve or change features over time; we will not remove a core feature of your plan during a paid period without notice.

Accounts

• You are responsible for the logins you create for staff, students and parents, and for keeping passwords confidential.
• You must make sure the people you give access to are allowed to see the information their role shows.
• Tell us straight away if you believe an account has been used without permission.

Trials, fees and payment

• Trials last 14 days unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due on the date shown on them.
• If an invoice stays unpaid after its due date and a grace period, we may limit your account to the billing page until it is paid. Your data is not deleted because of late payment.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next billing month.

Your data

You own the data your school adds. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as set out in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to collect and use the information you add, including information about children.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, send unsolicited messages, upload harmful code, try to access other schools' data, or interfere with the service's operation. We may suspend accounts that do.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. Before your account closes you can request an export of your data. We may end the service with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give notice of significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
